This 6650-yard Par 71 is used as an Open qualifying venue, yet it remains a much underrated links course. Built over undulating links with some old dune ridges between fairways, it is unusual in that many holes have tree lined fairways.
It has a reputation as an uncompromising course and no prisoners are taken when the wind blows in form the Firth of Tay. it also has large, fast, firm and true greens, which partnered by some clever bunkering makes it a true test for today’s golfer.
