Henning Wehn is heading back to Dundee and Aberdeen next month with a brand new show and it sounds exactly the right amount of daft, dry and dangerously well-observed.
The self-styled German Comedy Ambassador will bring Acid Wehn to the Tivoli Theatre in Aberdeen on Thursday 16 April 2026 before making his return to the Whitehall Theatre in Dundee on Saturday 18 April 2026.
Known for his brilliantly deadpan delivery and gloriously sharp take on British life, Wehn’s latest show turns its attention to a subject nobody ever seems to tire of discussing: the weather. Or, to be slightly more specific, climate change.
According to the tour blurb, Acid Wehn sees the “award-deserving” comic take an unbiased look at the topic, with the promise that rain or shine, all will be fine. Or maybe it won’t. Who knows?
Which is, to be fair, very Henning.
Over the years, Wehn has become one of the most recognisable and reliably funny faces on the UK comedy circuit, with TV and radio appearances including Have I Got News For You, Would I Lie To You?, Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Question Time, Fighting Talk, I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue and The Unbelievable Truth.

His previous visits to both cities have gone down a storm, and promoter Doug Taylor of Mint of Montrose is expecting comedy fans in the north-east and Tayside to snap up tickets quickly.
He said: “It’s a big Aberdeen & Dundee ‘willkommen’ from us to the super funny Henning and his latest hit stand-up tour. His previous visits were such a laugh, we’re sure fans of a big laugh theatre night out will snap up the last few tickets for his return.”
With Henning, you more or less know what you are getting: clever nonsense, sly digs, immaculate timing, and the sense that he is somehow both in on the joke and slightly above it.
Which is a lovely place to watch comedy from.
