After nine weeks driving the entire coast of mainland Scotland while living in his van, Vanlife With A Scotsman has arrived in Dundee and this stop feels more personal than most.

In his latest video, the creator returns to the city he still calls home, capturing Dundee not just as a place of landmarks and history, but as a city shaped by its people, memories and character.

From the waterfront and RSS Discovery to the V&A, Verdant Works, Mills Observatory and a run of much-loved local food stops, the film pieces together a portrait of Dundee that feels warm, funny and properly lived-in. There is history here, of course from jute, jam and journalism to polar exploration and games design but there is also the everyday stuff that makes a city feel real: old routines, favourite spots, local businesses and the stories that stick with you.

What makes the video work is its affection for Dundee without ever overpolishing it. This is not a glossy tourism reel. It is a grounded, heartfelt look at a city that has changed over the years but still holds tight to its identity.

For anyone who knows Dundee, it will feel instantly familiar.

For anyone who does not, it is a lovely reminder that the city’s real strength has always been its warmth, resilience and personality.
