If your ideal night out includes a three-course meal, two solid hours of comedy and the very real possibility of total dining-room mayhem, this should be right up your street.

Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is coming to Forgan’s Broughty Ferry on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April 2026, bringing one of the world’s longest-running and most successful immersive comedy shows to the Ferry for two nights of brilliantly organised chaos.

Inspired by the iconic BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers, the show invites guests to do more than just sit back and watch. This is a fully interactive dining experience where Basil, Sybil and Manuel roam the room, stir up trouble and drag diners right into the action as the evening unfolds.

And, naturally, absolutely nothing goes to plan.

Described as the original Faulty Towers Dining Experience, the production has been running since 1997 and has grown into a huge international success, touring across 43 countries and entertaining more than one million guests along the way. Not bad for a hospitality setup where incompetence is very much part of the package.

At Forgan’s, guests can expect a 70s-style three-course meal alongside the two-hour interactive show, with the action kicking off after arrival from 6.45pm and seating from 7.30pm.

What makes the show work and why it keeps selling out wherever it goes is that it is not just a tribute or a straight stage version of the sitcom. It is immersive, improvised and gloriously daft, putting diners right in the middle of the mess rather than safely at a distance. One minute you are out for dinner, the next you are effectively checking into the most dysfunctional hotel in television history.

Which, frankly, sounds like a strong night out.

With Forgan’s already one of the Ferry’s best-known spots for food and atmosphere, it feels like a pretty natural home for something this lively. And for fans of classic British comedy, interactive theatre, or just a dinner booking with a bit more madness than usual, this should be a cracking addition to the local events calendar.
