Alison Moyet is heading to Dundee this autumn for a special live show built around some of the most loved and least often heard songs from her remarkable career.
The acclaimed singer-songwriter will bring her 2026 Tour Songs of Yazoo, the minutes & Other to the Caird Hall on Wednesday 28 October 2026, with doors opening at 7pm.
This is not just another greatest hits set. Instead, Moyet’s latest tour offers something a bit more distinctive: an evening devoted entirely to songs from the Yazoo catalogue, alongside selected tracks from her celebrated solo electronica albums the minutes and Other.
For longtime fans, that makes this Dundee date a particularly exciting one. While a few Yazoo favourites have remained part of Alison Moyet’s live shows over the years, much of the duo’s material has rarely been performed beyond their short original run and their 2008 reunion tour, Reconnected. That gives audiences a rare chance to hear songs from two landmark releases Upstairs At Eric’s, which achieved platinum status in both the UK and the US, and You And Me Both, which reached number one in the UK.
It is a set-up that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Yazoo’s run may have been brief, but its impact was enormous, helping define the sound of early synth-pop while showcasing Moyet’s unmistakable voice soulful, powerful and completely her own. Bringing that material back to the stage in 2026 gives these songs a new kind of spotlight, not as museum pieces, but as living, breathing records that still carry real emotional weight.
Alongside the Yazoo material, the show will also draw from the minutes and Other, two albums that marked a bold and critically praised return to electronica in Moyet’s solo work. Produced by and largely co-written with Guy Sigsworth, both records were widely seen as creative high points, pairing sharp electronic production with the kind of depth and authority that has always set Moyet apart.
Speaking about the tour, Moyet said: “Many years touring the same pool of songs and I am keen for a palate refresher. Specifying which years I will be fishing from too, I think is a grand way to serve pot luck for specific tastes. No bones…”
That spirit is exactly what makes this tour stand out. Rather than leaning on the obvious, it promises something more curated, more thoughtful and, frankly, more interesting. For fans of Yazoo, electronic pop, or simply one of Britain’s most distinctive voices, this should be a very special night at the Caird Hall.
Tickets are on sale now, with prices starting from £39.
The event is 14+, with all under-16s required to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
