About WestFest 2024

WestFest is Dundee’s largest outdoor festival, scheduled for Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 12 pm to 8 pm at Magdalen Green. This family-friendly event is free and has grown significantly since its launch in 2010, regularly attracting thousands of visitors.

Getting There

To minimise congestion, visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle, or use public transport. There is no organised parking, so if you must drive, park legally and considerately to ensure access for residents and emergency vehicles.

What to Bring

  • Essentials: Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, food, and unopened soft drinks (no glass containers).
  • Extras: Picnic blankets and small tents are allowed, but gazebos are prohibited.
  • Pet Policy: Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

What Not to Bring

  • Alcohol (only alcohol purchased on-site is permitted).
  • Flammable items such as barbecues.
  • Balloons or sky lanterns.

Festival Highlights

Enjoy performances from local bands, including the Dundee Schools Rock Band and octogenarian rock ‘n’ roll pianist Stan Urban. The festival features a variety of stalls offering food, crafts, and community services.
