The story began in the summer of 1978 when Alfred and June Paladini opened a charming and rustic cottage gallery in their hometown. They had discovered some months before two abandoned and derelict cottages ideally situated within a stones throw of the waterfront in the picturesque coastal village of Broughty Ferry, only 3 miles east of Dundee.
Alf and June had a vision to create a gallery which could provide an opportunity for the wealth of local artistic talent, and after much searching had at last found the ideal location. They enthusiastically set about restoring the rustic cottages which today house our jewellery and gift collections, determined to keep the buildings true to their original character. In 1999 aided by their sons, Sandro and Leon, the family embarked upon a further major redevelopment of adjacent buildings to create the unique two-storey purpose built gallery which adjoins the original 200 year old cottages.
Today, Eduardo Alessandro Studios continues to follow its founding principle to support and promote artists and craftspeople from Scotland.
