The Big Barn Dance
Join us for a fantastic summer celebration at our yearly Big Barn Dance, held at the Indoor Arena on Saturday, June 14th, from 6-9pm! Tickets must be reserved in advance. We’re thrilled to welcome back Clappy Doo, one of Scotland’s most sought-after and lively ceilidh bands. Graeme, our seasoned caller, will guide you through the fun.
Get ready for line dancing with a Dolly twist! Heather Baxter, a skilled line dance teacher, will lead you through the steps, and this year, you’ll have the chance to master a routine to the iconic ‘Islands in the Stream’ by Country Music icons Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
Picnic Dinner
Feel free to bring your own picnic dinner. We’re offering a prize for the most impressive setup, with our ‘Judge’ scoring based on both the food and its presentation!
Bar Services
We’ve got a fully stocked bar for the evening—this isn’t a bring-your-own-beverage event. Enjoy a selection of beer, wine, canned cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks available for purchase throughout the night.
Activities
There will be plenty of themed games to keep everyone engaged and entertained!
Important Details
Make sure to wear appropriate footwear for dancing, inspired by Dolly and Kenny—think cowboy boots, wellies, or riding boots—since our Arena floor can get quite dirty. Dress up in your best Country attire and flaunt your style! Gather your friends and family for this all-ages event. Note that anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older.
Plan Your Evening
Our Indoor Arena is located at West Fenton, EH39 5AL, roughly a mile inland from Gullane village. We’re not on a public bus route, so consider pre-booking a taxi—there are several local taxi services available. If you’d like to extend your night, check out nearby Gullane pubs like The Mallard, The Bonnie Badger, or The Old Clubhouse.
