Singaporean Supper Night May 2025
Exciting News for 2025! Ruzita is back following the hugely successful Malaysian Supper Club, which sold out, to present genuine Singaporean dishes on 23 May from 7pm to 9pm. Secure your tickets directly on our website with no extra charges. Can’t make it on this date? Don’t worry, we’ve scheduled another event in September. After her fully booked Malaysian supper club earlier in February, Ruzita is eager to introduce the distinctive tastes of Singaporean cooking. She’ll guide you through the lively flavors of her cultural roots, where food is a constant celebration, blending influences from Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous backgrounds.
Singaporean cuisine is often associated with bold, spicy flavors, though not always fiery. It relies on staple ingredients like rice and coconut (used in various ways), along with coconut sugar, chili, tamarind, and sometimes shrimp paste, as well as an array of spices and herbs. A standout is pandan, a fragrant, sweet herb that enhances both savory and sweet recipes.
Immerse yourself in the extraordinary tastes of Singaporean food through Ruzita’s enchanting dishes. Enjoy beloved classics such as potato curry puffs, fried tofu with peanut sauce, beef dalcha, Singapore laksa, and much more. This is a rare opportunity to explore a cuisine that has been largely overlooked in Scotland. Ruzita guarantees a dining experience that will leave a lasting, positive impression!
Please be aware that while we strive to cater to all dietary needs at this event, ingredients like shellfish, fish, sesame, soy, and nuts will be used, which may not be suitable for those with allergies to these items.
