Singapore Dinner
Come to our croft for an exciting inaugural partnership with Mrs. M, a Singaporean lady with a deep love for her nation’s cuisine and a desire to introduce its distinctive tastes to others. Singapore’s culinary scene is a rich tapestry of bold flavors, shaped by the diverse heritage of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and native traditions. While often seasoned with an array of spices, Singaporean dishes aren’t always fiery in heat. Key ingredients like rice and coconut, in their many forms, are staples in numerous recipes, alongside coconut sugar, chili, tamarind, and an assortment of herbs and spices—particularly pandan, a fragrant, sweet herb frequently used in both savory and dessert preparations. During the evening, Mrs. M will prepare an array of mouthwatering vegetarian dishes that highlight Singapore’s unique flavors. The menu features potato Curry Puffs, Tofu Rojak, Dalcha, Bergedels (potato cakes), and for dessert, Almond Agar-Agar with lychees and Suji cookies. Don’t pass up this unique chance to experience a delightful and aromatic cuisine that is rarely found in Scotland! Please be aware that the dishes will contain allergens such as sesame, soy, and nuts, and will be prepared in a setting where other allergens like wheat flour are present. Keep this in mind when deciding if this event is right for you. Note: This is a ticketed event.
