Quiet Session Sensory Stay and Play Port Seton
Join us for a peaceful hour from 10am to 11am at Port Seton Community Centre, EH32 0BG. One ticket covers a family at a cost of £3 per ticket. No formal diagnosis is necessary to participate in any STAND events. This stay-and-play session is tailored for neurodivergent or potentially neurodivergent children and their families, though everyone is invited to join.
The space will feature quiet zones equipped with ear defenders, along with sensory tools, deep pressure areas, a sensory table, a calm den, arts and crafts, messy play activities, and additional ear defenders. Children attending the quiet hour are welcome to remain for the following session if they feel at ease.
Complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks will be provided for parents in insulated lidded cups, while snacks and juice will be available for children. Volunteers will be stationed at entrances and exits for assistance. Visual aids like choice boards will be placed around the venue for support.
No diagnosis is required to attend our events; this is a stay-and-play session with accommodations for children who might need them. One ticket per family is required, priced at £3 plus Eventbrite fees per child. Walk-ins are accepted if the event isn’t fully booked. Please note that this is a paid event.
