ONLINE SEMINAR Inner child Stuck in childhood
Frequently, we find ourselves as merely young souls trapped in grown-up frames—children who missed out on sufficient affection, care, and a sense of safety and connection. Our responses to various circumstances mirror the reactions we had as kids. When we fail to obtain what we desire, we become frustrated and point fingers at everyone and everything around us. If life takes a tough turn, we throw in the towel and grumble about the injustices of the world. Despite having matured physically, that vulnerable child within us persists, still carrying deep wounds. During our early years, when traumatic experiences occur and we’re too young to process them, we bury those emotions and become trapped by them. Later, when a comparable event stirs those buried feelings, we lose control and respond from the perspective of that injured child. Even at 40, our behavior can resemble that of a 7-year-old. Afterwards, we often feel remorse for our words and actions, chastising ourselves for such conduct. These responses are instinctive. To alter them, we must acknowledge and embrace the wounded child within us. We must nurture this part of ourselves, address the unfulfilled needs it yearns to satisfy, and guide it toward healthier ways of coping.
In this program, we will explore:
– What defines the inner child?
– In what ways does the inner child express itself within us?
– How do unmet needs from our childhood lead to impulsive reactions?
– How do these patterns appear across different facets of our lives?
– What separates someone who responds deliberately from someone who reacts impulsively from a place of childhood pain?
– The concept of being emotionally frozen at a specific age and methods to move forward.
– The various internal aspects that reside in us.
– Embracing accountability for oneself, one’s life, and one’s joy.
– The journey of reparenting.
