Milo Allan Murray Hall

Come celebrate with Milo Allan (the collaborative pen name of Milo Clenshaw and Vicky Allan) as we host them at our store on Monday, May 12th, at 7pm to mark the release of their latest work, *Murray Hall*. This novel, drawn from the real-life tale of a Scotsman’s ascent to fame, uncovers a hidden queer history long buried by time. *Murray Hall* pieces together the enigma of an ordinary yet remarkable individual whose secret stunned New York, the United States, and beyond. Set in 1901, the story begins with Dr. Gallagher declaring Murray Hall deceased. Known as a New York political figure, gambler, and charmer, Hall’s death unveils a shocking aspect of his identity—one he kept concealed, leaving everyone in disbelief. A determined journalist embarks on a quest to reveal the truth behind Hall’s life, navigating a maze of reality and rumor. From the gritty tenements of Glasgow to mingling with New York’s power brokers, Murray Hall epitomizes the self-made man, though his growing prominence comes with escalating risks.
