Midweek Morton Lochs walk
Come along for a relaxed midweek walk in a small group through Tentsmuir Forest, where we’ll stop at several Morton Lochs hides to observe waterfowl and woodland birds, with the chance of spotting red squirrels and migratory songbirds. Due to high demand from previous fully booked outings, we’re offering this repeat event to allow those who missed out an opportunity to explore this unique location and gain insights into its wildlife, conservation efforts, and historical significance.
We’ll gather at the Morton Lochs National Nature Reserve car park, with the nearest postcode DD6 9PE, OS Grid Reference NO 46474 26355, and What3Words location ///euphoric.flamingo.seated. The walk is on flat terrain, mainly along well-kept trails. We advise wearing waterproof clothing and sturdy shoes. This event is suitable for families, though children must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on short leads. Bringing binoculars is highly recommended.
Advance booking is required. During the booking process, please provide the name and mobile number of each participant, as well as contact details for an emergency contact person to ensure we can act swiftly if needed. Additionally, kindly inform us of any relevant medical conditions at the time of booking so we can be prepared for any emergencies.
