MarineFest Seabird ID Beginners

Discover Scotland’s Seabirds at MarineFest!
Join our dedicated Conservation Officers for an engaging indoor workshop focused on recognizing the magnificent seabirds that grace Scotland’s shores during the summer months. We’ll highlight species commonly seen in the North Berwick area and its surroundings.
Whether you’re a newcomer to the region, a beginner in birdwatching, or simply eager to discuss the coastal birds you’ve noticed, all are invited to participate. Feel free to ask questions, exchange insights and stories, or just sit back and absorb new information in a friendly setting.
If the weather permits, we might conclude the session with a brief stroll outside to observe what seabirds we can find along the coastline.
This event is designed for adults aged 18 and over. Your ticket purchase is greatly appreciated and directly supports our educational and conservation initiatives.

**Optional Catamaran Boat Trip**
On the same day, in the afternoon, there’s an opportunity to join a Seabird Catamaran Boat Trip. Please note that this must be booked separately and is not covered by the event ticket price.
To reserve your spot, click HERE for online booking, dial 01620 890 202, or visit our Boat Office in person. If the trip appears fully booked online, contact the Boat Office directly at the number provided, as we’ve held spots for event attendees until 24 hours prior to the trip. Booking after this deadline does not guarantee a place.
Note: Reservations are exclusively for the Seabird Catamaran Boat Trip scheduled on the same day as this event.

The session will be held in our Learning Hub, located in the classroom adjacent to the SSC office building, across from the visitor centre.
