Moonlight Concerts warmly welcomes you to experience the talents of Matthew Shiel, a celebrated emerging artist from Usher Hall and Live Music Now. He will guide his renowned jazz ensemble on a lively, foot-stomping journey through blues, Berlin cabaret, ragtime, and improvisational New York jazz piano, interwoven with heartfelt narratives—all under the soft glow of candlelight. The repertoire features classics like Joplin’s *The Entertainer*, Brubeck’s *Take 5*, Gershwin’s iconic *Rhapsody in Blue*, and cabaret pieces by Jewish composer Erwin Schulhoff (1894-1942), who tragically lost his life to the Third Reich for the ‘offense’ of creating jazz music.

Join Matthew for a memorable night of exceptional piano mastery and moving storytelling at the beautifully candlelit St Vincent’s Chapel. Built in 1857, this architectural gem is among Scotland’s most stunning chapels.
