IPDA Scotland Symposium
IPDA Scotland is thrilled to welcome you to our upcoming Summer Professional Learning Symposium, hosted at Queen Margaret University. As a global association dedicated to professional development, IPDA supports educators in enhancing their learning and skills across various fields.
In light of the ongoing updates and revisions to the Curriculum for Excellence, we are excited to host a symposium on Saturday, May 10th. This event will be held both indoors and at the Outdoor Learning Hub at Queen Margaret University, focusing on the theme of nurturing professional growth within evolving learning communities.
The cost to attend this event is £10. Kindly secure your spot by purchasing a ticket through Eventbrite and filling out the accompanying form.
We encourage you to contribute by proposing a joint professional learning activity related to the following key areas:
– Navigating, fostering, maintaining, or honoring elements of your professional development during curriculum transitions
– Exploring the hurdles and prospects for professional learning amidst educational reforms
– Sharing unique and creative strategies for professional development.
We welcome contributions in the following formats:
– Guiding a walking conversation in the scenic Outdoor Learning Hub at QMU
– Hosting a roundtable discussion on a pertinent topic related to professional practice
– Delivering a presentation on recent projects or emerging concepts tied to the symposium themes in a structured setting
Alternatively, you are welcome to simply join as an active participant. Leading a session or presenting is not mandatory.
Attendees will have the opportunity to register for your sessions. We anticipate that these interactions will spark future collaborative efforts, whether in practical applications, research, new projects, or contributions to IPDA publications. The day will conclude with a social gathering, a short talk, and a drinks reception at 3pm. Additional information will be provided closer to the event date.
Please note that this is a paid event.
