During this Mosaic Starter Session, we’ll begin with a brief introduction to the diverse techniques, styles, and potential of mosaic art, then delve into practical skills such as material selection, tile cutting, and fundamental design concepts. You’ll create your own mosaic piece, either by bringing a personal design or picking from a range of ready-made patterns.

We plan to apply grout to the mosaics by the end of the session. If your piece requires additional drying time, you’ll receive a small grout kit and instructions to complete the process at home.

What’s provided: All necessary tools and materials, including ceramic and vitreous glass tiles, substrates, glue, and detailed handouts. Complimentary tea, coffee, and packaged biscuits will be offered throughout the day.

What to bring: A protective apron or oversized shirt, and a shallow container to transport your creation home.
