Guided Tour of Historic Broughty Ferry and the ancient Fisher Graveyard
Our journey will begin with the earliest recorded inhabitants of this region, guiding you securely through the calamities, conflicts, and joyful moments that have shaped Broughty Ferry. You’ll be captivated by stories of ordinary fishermen and unforgettable local heroes. The route spans approximately one mile (1609 meters). While we’d love to include everyone, please be aware that our tours traverse uneven sidewalks, cobblestone paths, and frequently narrow passages and alleys. We urge all participants to take this into account before reserving a spot to prevent any inconvenience. Dogs that are well-mannered are permitted to join. As for cats, we jokingly note that a well-behaved one is yet to be found. Tours will proceed regardless of weather conditions, so please dress appropriately for the elements—we’re located at the Tay estuary, opening to the North Sea. Interestingly, Dundee holds the title of Scotland’s SUNNIEST city. Believe it or not! It’s bound to be an enjoyable experience! Kindly note that the cost of your tour ticket does not cover admission to any of the sites we’ll see or talk about during the tour. However, we’re happy to suggest that you explore these places on your own. Tickets for the tour can only be purchased online, and please be advised that refunds will not be issued under any conditions once tickets are bought. *We will gather at the waterfront by the drawbridge and ramp of Broughty Ferry Castle, and conclude our tour outside the Lifeboat Station on Fisher Street.
This is a Paid Event.
