Flash fiction 100 words for 100 years
Join us to explore flash fiction and celebrate the National Library’s 100th anniversary. Try crafting your own 100-word story in a welcoming, laid-back workshop. Draw ideas from the unique areas of the building, interactions with Library staff, or a piece from our Treasures exhibition. During the session, you’ll get an exclusive look at the book stacks, a glimpse into the Reading Room, and learn fascinating details about the library’s history and collections.
About the facilitator: Ruth Gilchrist leads creative writing sessions for diverse charity and community organizations. She specializes in flash fiction and poetry and authored ‘Bird Brained, a bird count in poems,’ released by Black Agnes Press.
