The lineup for the evening includes these remarkable drams:
– **Raasay Private Cask Number 17/16 7yo Ex Bourbon and Tennessee American Oak, ABV ??%, £priceless**
Filled just weeks after production began at Raasay, this cask will be bottled at 10 years old. We’ve secured a sample to share during this tasting while we await its full maturation. This may well be the oldest Raasay expression we’ll ever sample.
– **The Draam, Isle of Raasay Distillery’s signature single malt whisky, 46.4% ABV, RRP £55**
Naturally colored, non-chill filtered, lightly peated, and bursting with rich, dark fruit notes. Launched in 2021 and officially christened The Draam in 2025, this beloved whisky retains its original six-cask recipe crafted by Master Distiller Alasdair Day, now with a distinct name to stand out on any shelf.
– **Isle of Raasay Cask Strength, 61.6% ABV, RRP £65**
Naturally colored, non-chill filtered, this award-winning six-cask blend is bottled at natural cask strength. Lightly peated with deep, dark fruit tones, it shines honey-gold with subtle red wine undertones.
– **Quercus Humboldtii Virgin Colombian Oak 2024, 50.7% ABV, RRP £90**
Naturally colored, non-chill filtered, and lightly peated, this whisky, fully matured in Colombian oak, delivers enticing notes of crème brûlée and heather smoke—a dram you’ll find yourself returning to again and again.
– **Special Mystery Draam, ??% ABV, £??**
A delightful surprise awaits!
