Edinburgh Sketcher at Kellie Castle

Embark on a captivating journey with Mark, the Edinburgh Sketcher, in this unique partnership where he reveals the sketching methods he has honed over ten years of capturing Edinburgh’s charm. He will guide you in noticing intricate elements of buildings and landscapes, inspiring you to create stunning sketches to cherish and take home.

During each session, you’ll explore concepts like perspective, depth, and composition through quick 10-minute warm-up exercises to loosen your grip, progressing to 30-minute detailed scenes, all while soaking in the historic splendor and natural beauty of Kellie Castle.

These 3-hour workshops are priced at £45 per participant, which includes light refreshments at the end. All necessary sketching materials for the day will be supplied.

This experience is ideal for everyone, from novices to seasoned artists eager to discover Mark’s rapid sketching techniques or to hone their outdoor ink and watercolor skills.

Children aged 8 and older are welcome to join, though those between 8 and 15 years must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket. As this is a walking and sketching tour, please check the weather forecast and dress appropriately for Scotland’s unpredictable climate. An indoor alternative will be provided if the weather turns unfavorable.
