Edinburgh Central EuroWalk
Sign up to join the complimentary Edinburgh Central EuroWalk scheduled for Sunday, May 4th, 2025. Led by a Festival of Europe Scotland guide, this tour will lead you through a path showcasing numerous landmarks and structures that highlight the strong ties and enduring relationships between Edinburgh and its European counterparts. The walk commences at 11am from the Wojtek the Soldier Bear statue in Princes Street Gardens and concludes outside St. Andrew’s House on Regent Road, near the base of Calton Hill. Spanning about 5 kilometers, the route typically takes around two hours to complete. While some sections, like the initial stretch along Princes Street, are flat, participants are advised to wear sturdy footwear due to the presence of steps, cobblestones, and multiple inclines, which may pose accessibility challenges for some. If you’re unable to participate in the walk, we invite you to explore the images and resources available on the EuroWalks website: EuroWalks – Explore Scotland’s European Connections.
