CWGC War Graves Week 2025 Lochgelly Cemetery

Come along for a complimentary guided visit to Lochgelly Cemetery. While our guided walks are offered at no cost to everyone, we encourage you to support our cause by making a donation to our partnered organization, The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF). You can contribute via their website at https://foundation.cwgc.org/donate/. We will gather at the parking area located at the rear of the cemetery lodge. Lochgelly Cemetery is positioned just beyond Lochgelly, along the B981 road connecting Lochgelly to Cardenden. Managed by Fife Council, the cemetery is the resting place of 17 individuals commemorated by the CWGC from both World Wars. While a few have private markers, the majority are marked by the recognizable CWGC headstones. During the tour, you’ll learn about the stories behind many of the individuals interred here. The walk will take about an hour to complete. Please note that parking is limited, and the terrain includes both flat and inclined areas. Be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.
