Cut and Paste with Frances Law

Owing to overwhelming interest, we are thrilled to announce a second workshop in September! We are excited to have Frances Law return, a highly regarded and accomplished artist with 40 years of experience in various fine art disciplines, including painting, printmaking, collage, and the creation of artist’s books. Her creations are breathtaking and motivating, and you can explore her diverse portfolio on her website. Additionally, Frances is a seasoned instructor and educator, with a background in Further and Higher Education, Art in Healthcare, and Community Arts initiatives across Scotland. As a teacher, she aims to create a supportive and encouraging environment where she imparts essential skills and helps artists cultivate their unique artistic voice and style.

Frances is especially celebrated for her exquisite artist’s books, and during this workshop, she will guide participants through her book-making techniques, enabling you to craft your own. She will demonstrate how to produce distinctive papers through printing, which you will then cut, tear, and assemble into striking, vibrant, and varied landscape books. While you are welcome to bring personal reference materials, there will also be ample guidance and inspiration provided.
