Celebrating Scottish womens football
In anticipation of the 2025 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final, explore the inspiring journeys of women and girls who have embraced football in Scotland for more than a hundred years—whether on organized teams, as part of the national squad, or playing casually in neighborhood streets, parks, and courtyards. Join Fiona Skillen, Karen Fraser, and Julie McNeill, the co-editors of ‘A Most Unsuitable Game: Celebrating Scottish Women’s Football Fifty Years After the Ban,’ as they delve into the rich history of women in the sport. This event will highlight the resilience and passion of countless Scottish female footballers across generations and celebrate the remarkable progress of the game.
