Basic Home DIY 3 Week Course
Embark on a 3-week journey to master the fundamental skills and tools required to tackle your DIY home projects with confidence!
– **Week 1**: Learn the basics of project planning, accurate marking and measuring, selecting materials, and foundational design principles. Tools covered: hand saws, measuring devices, and sanders.
– **Week 2**: Dive into assembling and refining your project, exploring painting methods, adhesives, finishes, and drill operation. Tools covered: drills, jigsaws, paintbrushes, and rollers.
– **Week 3**: Discover the art of shelf installation! We’ll guide you through mounting your creation on a wall, choosing the right fixings for various wall types, and ensuring a level finish.
During the course, feel free to seek guidance from our instructors on any personal home projects, and if feasible, bring them along on the final day for hands-on advice.
**IMPORTANT NOTICE**: By enrolling in this course, you commit to attending all three sessions:
– Monday, 28th April, 6:00-8:30pm
– Monday, 5th May, 6:00-8:30pm
– Monday, 12th May, 6:00-8:30pm
Please dress in comfortable attire that you’re okay with getting a bit dirty!

**NOTE**: If booking for a minor, please contact us in advance. Our workshops at Edinburgh Tool Library are designed for participants aged 18 and above. However, we may accommodate minors aged 15-17 if accompanied by a parent or guardian. We will assess the suitability of the workshop for a minor and reserve the right to approve or decline the booking. We appreciate your cooperation and encourage you to reach out prior to booking.
