Renowned children’s author and illustrator Annie Blunt has endured a horrific year. Her husband died in a devastating accident, and one of her children’s stories sparked a massive controversy. Seeking a new beginning, she relocates with her young son Charlie to a quaint small town in upstate New York, hoping to find peace and recovery.

But Annie’s troubles are far from over.

Feeling isolated and restless in their unfamiliar new environment, Charlie is overjoyed when he discovers an old, abandoned train set in a locked shed on their property. While Annie is glad to see her son excited, there’s something eerie about the toy.
