Alma comprises the exceptional skills of Anna Cassidy, Marina Rolink, and Ellyn Oliver, brought together by their mutual love for rich harmonies and meaningful lyrics. Anna and Ellyn first crossed paths in 2020 during the Danny Kyle Open Stage competition. By 2024, their growing connection with Marina within Glasgow’s dynamic songwriting scene united these three seasoned musicians. Having honed their craft through numerous performances across Scotland, they’ve recently joined forces to create original music they’re excited to perform for live audiences. Taking cues from legendary figures like Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, and The Staves, Alma aims to produce music that is sincere, warm, and introspective. This genuine sentiment is reflected in their name, Alma, symbolizing soul, heart, and essence.
