A Night of Creative Networking Networking Event for Creative Industries

Attention all creative minds in Scotland! I’m thrilled to invite you and 50 fellow creatives to an inspiring evening at 56 North in Edinburgh. This is your chance to mingle, exchange ideas, and build connections with others who are passionate about the creative arts and industries.

No matter if you’re a newcomer, a seasoned professional with a decade of experience, or involved in roles such as acting, writing, teaching, fundraising, technical crew, composing, or anything in between, you are welcome to join us! This gathering embraces all creatives, irrespective of age*, experience level, or background.

What’s the aim of this event?
The primary objective is to foster a sense of community among creatives and facilitate connections with others in the area who share similar interests. Whether it’s photographers looking for models or models seeking photographers, creating a robust network and interacting with peers from both related and diverse creative fields is incredibly beneficial. Such connections can unlock numerous possibilities and pave the way for thrilling prospects.

Why am I organizing this?
I’m William (Will), a Scottish actor currently residing in London. Like many others, I relocated to pursue broader career opportunities, feeling that Scotland’s creative scene was somewhat isolated and less accessible compared to London. I frequently participate in networking events in London and only recently noticed that, to my understanding, similar events are scarce in Scotland (or at least not as regular as they could be!).

My hope is that this event, even if it’s just a one-time occurrence, serves as a casual meet-up where individuals with shared creative interests can come together to talk about their experiences, enthusiasms, and aspirations. I’ve formed some incredible connections at London events, and I’m eager for Scotland’s creative community to enjoy the same benefits.

How will the evening unfold?
The gathering is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 56 North, located at 2 W Crosscauseway, Newington, Edinburgh EH8 9JP. Upon arrival, check in with me at the entrance, pick up a name sticker, and another to indicate your profession. Then, make your way inside, order a drink at the bar, and start engaging with fellow attendees.
