1day Slowstitched needlebook

1-Day Slow-Stitch Needlebook Crafting Session
Embark on a captivating journey with our exclusive workshop, where you’ll craft a one-of-a-kind slow-stitched needlebook. Dive into the calming world of slow stitching and eco-conscious crafting. During this interactive session, you’ll master the creation of a stunning, custom needlebook using leftover fabric pieces and simple hand embroidery techniques. Perfect for beginners or those eager to repurpose old textiles creatively, this event is a fantastic chance to acquire new skills while producing a useful and aesthetically pleasing item.

**What You’ll Gain:**
In this ‘slow-stitched needlebook’ session, you’ll experience the serene pleasure of slow stitching—a thoughtful, meditative embroidery practice that fosters creativity and tranquility. You’ll receive detailed guidance on constructing your own needlebook, a practical yet charming accessory to neatly store and access your needles.

**Core Skills for Crafting a Hand-Stitched Needlebook:**
– **Basic Hand Embroidery Techniques:** Ideal for novices, we’ll explore the Japanese Boro style with running stitch. You’ll also learn various simple stitches like chain stitch variations (detached chain, lazy daisy) and French knots to decorate your needlebook, giving it a distinctive, personal flair.
– **Repurposing Fabric Remnants:** Have leftover fabric from previous projects? This workshop is the perfect opportunity to transform them into something new! Use these remnants to design the cover of your needlebook, creating a sustainable, unique piece. If you don’t have scraps, don’t worry—I’ve got plenty to share.
– **Wool Sweater Felt Pages:** The inner pages of your needlebook, meant to securely hold needles, will be crafted from felted wool sweaters. This not only adds a delightful texture but also serves as a creative way to reuse old sweaters that might otherwise be discarded.

**Meet Your Instructor:**
