If you needed proof that Dundee’s West End still knows how to put on a show, Whitehall Theatre’s 2026 calendar is doing a pretty good job of it.

From big-name comics and family favourites to tribute nights, musicals, dance shows and a festive finish, the months ahead are packed. So rather than firing the full listings at you like a rogue confetti cannon, here’s a month-by-month look at what’s still to come at one of the city’s best-loved venues.

March: comedy, dance and family fun

Things kick off with David Burns and The Big Accumulator: Our Ultimate Still Game Wager on 27 March, before Dance X Treme takes over the following day. Then comes Adventures on Old MacDonald’s Farm on 29 March, giving families something bright, noisy and likely full of singalongs to round off the month.

April: a proper mixed bag

April is stacked.

There is family fare with The Wizard of Oz on 3 April, followed by live music and tribute favourites including Country Superstars, The ELO Show, Queen Rhapsody and Wickedly Ariana. Comedy fans are well looked after too, with Aisling Bea on 16 April, Henning Wehn on 18 April and Andy Zaltzman on 26 April.

Throw in the Dundee Scout Gang Show across 22 to 25 April, plus Heartbreak; The Tom Petty Show at the end of the month, and it is one of the busiest stretches of the year.

May: laughs, live music and a touch of burlesque

May starts with the knowingly daft Wizard of Oz, Adults Only! on 1 May, before the month rolls on with comedy from Whit’s Yer Chat? and Susie McCabe.

Music-wise, there is plenty going on too, from Yourythmics to A Date With The Everly Brothers and The Simon & Garfunkel Story. In between, We Will Rock You lands for a four-night run from 13 to 16 May, while An Evening of Burlesque Cabaret adds a bit of sparkle on 17 May.

June: a slightly calmer month, but still strong

June may be lighter, but it is no write-off. Julie Fowlis brings something special to the Whitehall on 11 June, before comedy takes over later in the month with Scotland v England, The Comedy Show on 25 June and Austentatious on 29 June.

A shorter month on paper, maybe but still plenty to tempt folk through the doors.

July: family shows and summer nights

July leans nicely into family entertainment, with Flowers & Friendship Bracelets on 5 July, Fun for Little Ones – Tribute to Ms Rachel on 26 July, and My First Concert Featuring Baby Shark, Pinkfong & The Zoomies on 31 July.

For those after something a bit more grown-up, there is also Give Me The Night on 8 July and Legends of the 60s Show on 24 July.

August: bubbles, unicorns and a musical favourite

August keeps the family-friendly vibe going with The Amazing Bubble Man on 2 August and Unicorn Live! on 15 August. There is drama too, with Up A Close: Joanna’s Story on 22 August, before Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat arrives for a four-night run from 26 to 29 August.

September: comedy and crowd-pleasers

By September, the Whitehall is back in full swing with a strong run of comedy and concert dates. Ardal O’Hanlon, Jen Brister, Maisie Adam and Susan Calman all feature across the month, alongside Tam Cowan on the Road.

Music fans are spoiled too, with Sexbomb, UK Pink Floyd Experience, The Mersey Beatles and Arrival, The Hits of ABBA all landing before the month is out. There is even Adam Garcia’s Emerald Storm on 29 September for something a little different.

October: absolutely heaving

October is, frankly, daft.

It begins with Larry Dean: Hellbent on 2 October and barely pauses for breath after that. The UK Rock Show, The Makings of a Murderer, Nurse Georgie Carroll, John Barrowman, Gary Meikle, Sweet Caroline, The Sound of Springsteen, Fast Love, Radio GaGa and Dr Richard Shepherd all appear across the month.

By the time The Vintage Boys Rock ’n’ Roll Show starring Ore Oduba lands on 31 October, Whitehall will have hosted one of its busiest months of the year.

November: comedy heavyweights and big singalong energy

November brings a cracking run of comedy, with Lucy Beaumont, Karen Dunbar, Flo & Joan, Dylan Moran and Gary Delaney all on the bill.

There is music too, of course, with The Stevie & Luther Show, Bon Jovi Forever and Forever Clapton all giving the month a proper live-night-out feel.

December: Christmas mode activated

The year wraps up with The Best of Bublé, Home for Christmas on 1 December, Stuart Mitchell & Friends on 2 December, and then the big festive one: Cinderella from 10 to 20 December.

And really, there are not many more Whitehall ways to finish a year than that.

A big year in Dundee’s West End

Taken together, it is a reminder of how important Whitehall Theatre remains to Dundee’s live events scene. Big touring names, local favourites, tribute shows, family days out, comedy nights and festive staples it is all there.

So whether you fancy a laugh, a singalong, a bit of nostalgia or just an excuse to head into the West End for a good night out, the rest of 2026 is looking pretty lively.

And that, to be fair, is exactly what you want from Whitehall.
