If you’ve watched Lucy Beaumont on the telly and thought, “How is one person so endearingly unhinged?” good news: she’s bringing that exact energy to Dundee this autumn.
Lucy’s brand new tour show, Bad at Quiz Shows, Good with Weirdos, comes to Whitehall Theatre on Thursday 5 November 2026 and it’s shaping up to be a proper feel-good, laugh-out-loud night where everyday life gets gently launched into the surreal.
What’s the show about?
In Lucy’s own recent résumé of public disasters, she:
- cost a contestant £79,000 on primetime TV
- spectacularly flopped on Mastermind
- popped up on Celebrity Traitors
- and somehow ended up involved in cow udder couture on The Great British Sewing Bee
So she’s doing the sensible thing: stepping away from quiz shows and returning to what she does best turning half-formed thoughts about the deeply ordinary into something weird, brilliant, and unexpectedly relatable.
Expect chaotic storytelling, odd little details that shouldn’t be funny but absolutely are, and the sort of gentle mayhem that makes you laugh first… then realise you’re crying.

Lucy Beaumont is a stand-up, comedy actor and writer from Hull. She starred in and co-wrote the sitcom Meet The Richardsons (Dave), co-wrote Hullraisers (Channel 4), and has become one of the most recognisable comedy voices on British TV popping up everywhere from Taskmaster to Would I Lie to You? to QI.
On radio, she wrote and starred in BBC Radio 4 sitcom To Hull and Back, and she’s picked up major comedy awards along the way including the BBC New Comedy Award and Chortle Award for Best Newcomer.
