The Carnoustie Burnside Course

  • ( 0 Reviews )
Overview

The Burnside Course is Carnoustie’s second-oldest layout, originally established in 1882 and extended to 18 holes in 1914. It measures just over 6,000 yards, weaving around Barry Burn and through heather and whins. The course is a characterful and challenging links that rewards accuracy over distance.

Ben Hogan famously qualified for The Open here in 1953. While less daunting than the Championship Course, Burnside offers a true test with narrow fairways, small greens, and coastal winds. It’s ideal for casual and experienced players alike.
