Founded in 1845, Panmure is one of Scotland’s oldest golf clubs. The layout was shaped by Old Tom Morris and refined by James Braid, creating a unique blend of firm-running links and heathland golf. The course gained worldwide fame when Ben Hogan practised here before winning The Open in 1953 — the par-4 6th is named “Hogan’s” in his honour.
The course stretches to 6,551 yards from the black tees (par 70), with tight fairways, strategic bunkering, blind approaches, and firm fescue turf. Panmure rewards accuracy and strategy over power.
