Overview

Kingsbarns Golf Links offers a world-class modern links experience set along nearly 2 km of Fife coastline. Built on sandy farmland and opened in 2000, the layout is known for its dramatic elevation changes, sea views on every hole, and creative routing by Kyle Phillips. It co-hosts the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship (alongside St Andrews & Carnoustie) and has staged the Ricoh Women’s British Open (2017, 2023).

Its signature features include wide fescue-lined fairways, revetted bunkers, natural burns, and large undulating greens. Kingsbarns is walking-only (carts for medical reasons), open March–November, and rated among the world’s top modern links.
